If you’re planning your honeymoon, or even just a romantic trip away, there’s a new book you really should know about full of inspiration and handy info for travel lovers. The Honeymoon Handbook by Lonely Planet has just been released and it should form an essential planning tool for making your dream trip come true. If you’re not familiar with Lonely Planet {although I don’t think I know anybody who doesn’t own at least one of their travel guides}, they are the original travel gurus, the largest travel guide book publishers in the world that have multiple books on just about anywhere and everywhere. I’ve planned many a trip using their books and website.

The new handbook features over twenty five of the most exciting locations for couples, from Andalucia to Zambia. It starts with a quiz to determine what kind of trip to take based on what you both love the most. I love this idea as it makes for a real adventure tailored to you as a couple. There’s everything from wildlife spotting in the Serengeti, cruising around Havana in a vintage American car or diving with turtles in Bali.

Beyond the destination sections, The Honeymoon Handbook also offers safari, luxury, island and family-themed getaway ideas, among others, as well as advice on getting married abroad and minimoons if your epic trip has to wait. Other features include a honeymoon calendar helping you decide where to go when, budget breakdowns, how to pick hotels, how to compromise with your other half and an LGBT-friendly indicator for same-sex couples.

Some examples of the lists inside the book include;
